I have been working at Inergy as an Office Manager since January 2018. As Office Manager, I try to relieve my colleagues as much as possible and be there for them. No day is the same. That makes this job very diverse and fun for me.
Over the past two years, Inergy has gone through some major changes. When I started, we had merged with LIAS Software not long before. Of course, it takes a lot for an organization to keep everything on track. I am glad that I have been able to contribute to this as well. In addition, the move to our new premises in Woerden and, of course, the switch from (limited) office work to working from home in connection with COVID-19 were quite radical, but interesting changes for my role.
When the day starts I never know exactly what to expect. One colleague asks me to schedule an appointment, another asks me to send someone a card and yet another asks if I can process some data. In between, I answer the phone to customers or other people who have a question. When we were still in the office, this naturally included welcoming guests or new colleagues. In short: a lot of interaction with colleagues and that is what makes the work so much fun for me. The hours fly by!
Every month I create an onboarding program for the new colleagues who start. In three days, they meet many colleagues who tell them all about their function, department and history at Inergy. This way our new colleagues get an insight into what it's like at our company."
