Sam Schilder, a consultant at JE consultancy, wrote an action plan in collaboration with the financial management team in order to identify the financial consequences and keep them in sight. It was agreed with the administration and the budget holders that they would continue to book their expenses to the correct booking combinations but would provide the description with an attribute.

Method
It was agreed with the financial advisors to characterize within each budget journal the specific financial budget amounts arising from COVID. This quickly created a grip on the consequences. Multi-year impacts are also easy to track.
